Why couldnt natsu pass the barrier

Sure the were still young kids after they time jumped through the eclipse gate but, it does not change their time of birth, they didn't erase those hundred years they just skipped ahead. Therefore Natsu and Gajeel as well as the other 3 are technically over 80 according to there time of birth.

I'm a little tired of people saying that Natsu and Gajeel couldn't pass through the Freed's spell because of the dragons inside of them. It's true that Igneel and the other dragons are most likely over 80 but that doesn't change the fact that even though they inhabit the same body, the dragons and the dragon slayers are to different beings. Freed's magic is very specific it has to be otherwise people will fined holes in the rules and fined ways to bend them it clearly states "No statue nor person over the age of 80 gets out!

So even if Natsu and the other dragon slayers are not mentally 80 there physical bodys are more than 80 years old and are human. Both he and Natsu as well as Wendy, Sting, and Rogue were kids trained by dragons over years ago. I suppose that means they aren't like many of us thought, even though we've known for a while that they traveled through time with Eclipse. But I don't think there as ever a straight answer for why they couldn't cross Fried's age barrier.

The only two explanations I can find are a. It was actually blocking the dragons in them, which would make sense to me, and b. Somehow the runes knew their birth dates and added the years they traveled through Eclipse, which What did Mashima say about this, if anything?

But how can we tell the runes were picking up on their displacement in time? Why is it that only Natsu and Gajeel don't have an age, when all the other Dragon Slayers do? Was their dragon's ages ever mentioned, or is it just you guessing their dragons ages? Was it ever revealed within the story that their dragons were over 80 years old? As far as I remember, it was never mentioned, nor revealed that their dragons was over 80 years old. And besides, that doesn't explain why Wendy, Sting, and Rogue are the only ones that are mentioned to have an age. If they are actually younger, or near the age of Lucy, then their age should have been mentioned or written in their information, yet, it's left blink.

Kind of fishy if you ask me. Where did Sting and Rogue come from? They're younger than Wendy, right? Wendy had to be 5 when she was sent through the gate and met Mystogan.. So how come Natsu Also Gajeel couldn't go though go through Freed's runes?
